the equity loan is paid if one of us is deceased My husband,s name is only one on title This infuriates me He knows this but says he wants to keep things the way they are so his son will get the house upon his death..of course he says after both our deaths..we live in NW Indiana . I want to have both our names on title deed .. your thoughts and any advice on this please MJV

well if he passes first you should get the house unless there is a will and that states his son will get the house

Hi mjv!

Welcome to forums!

If you want add your name to the property deed, you'll have to ask your husband to sign a quitclaim deed and add your name. Once the deed is filled out, you need to notarize and record it.
