broker lost my loan papers

I had closed on my loan last month and a few days back my mortgage broker called me up and informed that the loan documents have been lost. I am asked to sign another set. We have the registration of the house completed in our name. I am not too comfortable in signing the papers again. Should I sign them again?

I can understand your concern. Mistakes can take place but also there are chances for frauds and it's difficult to say what happened to your papers.

But never sign before you collect information from all the other parties involved. Consult with the title company, attorney who conducted the closing. If you find that the broker is talking the truth and has fair intentions then only sign the papers.
