Hi I'm Dan Marsh from Santa Rosa, California, and I am a first time home owner who wants to learn about getting the most from real estate investing. I am also interested in learning about refinancing and when I can make use of that tool to save on interest and improve my long term outlook.
I joined a few months back. I enjoy helping people. I have been in this business for quite a while now and nothing is better than helping someone purchase their first home or their 50th home. As well as the feeling you get when you can refinance someone to get them out of a financial Jam.

I joined some 6 months ago -- and, I just found out about this 'intro' thread.
A life-long 'East Coast'-er, my wife and I moved to Phoenix to start a family and enjoy the West Coast. Having owned a few homes and refinanced each one of them to my advantage, I know how valuable good financial advice can be -- this is why I spend my time helping others correct their financing, or buy the home they hope to call their own.
Now that real estate holdings look to be more a hindrance than an asset, the clever folks are buying. And, the homeowners that find themselves in a jam are now looking for real help -- although the government can point them in the right direction, it is the responsibility of loan officers like myself to 'make it happen'! As always, a good mortgage broker can put the borrower into the proper product and improve his/her financial security.
I value this Community for the 'life' examples I find -- I hope to suggest some positive direction once in a while, but I like the discussion back-and-forth that each visitor brings to this Community. I recently joined the site and found it by accident. I've been in the mortgage business for 7 years and worked for one Countrywide for 6 years. I worked my way up from LO to Branch Manager overseeing 2 branches. I enjoy this business and hate the situation we are in due to many of the people that aren't in the business now...the strong, knowledgable & honest will survive. I work solely in Texas and like answering questions (that how stay up to date). I opened my own broker shop in 2006 with my partner and we now have 2, soon to be three offices. I would decraibe us as a no friles, straight shooting cmpany. Like I tell most of my clients, you may notlike wha tI have to say, but it will be the truth.
