Hi all,
It's been a long time since we've all joined hands and helped our community grow. But how well do we know each other? Let's start off by telling you something about myself.
I'm Brian Dela Cruz, Marketing Manager at MortgageFit. I've been associated with this community since April, 2006. And, it's been a pleasure interacting with the people here and helping them to the best of my abilities.
It would be great if you too add something about yourself here.
I am Sam Palmison (from California), the Admin at MortgageFit. It's been more than 2 years when one fine morning I started off to build this community.
You must be thinking, being a technical guy what made me get involved with a community and that too a mortgage community. Well, I've seen some of my friends and cousin somehow falling at the hands of predatory mortgage lenders. They've really suffered - sometimes high rates, huge charges and untimely adjustments and what not…and I found they were not the only ones who suffered..there are many more every year who fall into the hands of predatory lenders – either it's their misjudgment or their bad luck.
Anyway, it made me think if I could do something to help people stay away from frauds and scams, empower them to take the right decisions and at the same time keep me involved in technological innovations. That's how the concept of being in a community flashed in my mind...It's hard to break a community but easy to fight against illegal practices when you're in a community. So, that's how I thought of the mortgage community – MortgageFit.
This is Adonis here. I joined this community here on the 22nd of October, 2005. And believe me it's a great feeling to visit the community especially the forum where you get to know so many people and hear from them about they’re going through. _________________ Procrastination is the enemy of your financial sucess

Hi,
I am Caron Smith – helping people has been my aim since childhood. That's the reason I joined this community where I found people who needed help and support.
Not all of us can offer financial support but if you try, you can surely give people the mental support and the strength that will help them fight against all odds and empower them to take decisions on their own.
I joined in the beginning this year and since then learned a lot from all other senior pros over here. Its a great feeling being associated with such a helpful community.
I'm a moderator over at debtconsolidationcare, and came over here to offer some help as well.
10 years ago when I got married, we immediately bought a house..The wrong thing to do at that time. We ended up with a sky-high interest rate. In the next few years I ended up in serious debt. I was able to pull myself out of that debt situation with the help of debtcc, and was able to re-finance our home at a really great rate. In the process I learned a lot. I think that through my own personal experiences, my husband's real estate experience, and all the wonderful info I learned in my nearly 2 years at debtcc, I have a lot to offer this community as well!

Hi Finsfan,
Welcome to MortgageFit Community.
It's really great to see in our forums. And I feel we should learn from your fighting spirit, the way you have fought against problems and that's I guess there's a smile on your face.
We also have a great community of professionals and common people like DebtCC. And through forums, we try to share knowledge and help people on different financial issues.
I am just introducing our forums in brief, so that it will help you to participate and share your valuable experience and knowledge with others.
We have a forum "About Mortgage Companies" where people can share their experiences with companies. You'll also find there some discussions on payday loan companies.
Then there's the forum on "Budgeting and Personal Finance" where we discuss on issues related to personal finance and budgeting. All other forums are on mortgage related issues.
And finally, there's the "The Pub" so that you enjoy and have a fun with other members.
Hope, it helps you to navigate in our forums and get an idea about it.
We are all looking forward to your valuable start. And personally I am looking forward to see you as a moderator soon in our forums too.
