My son owns a home in Kentucky he is giving to us. We, both my son and I live in Indiana. He cannot make a trip there right now. Can he sign the deed over to us and we go to county courthouse and register for a new deed?

Welcome bowdean,

You'll have to notarize the deed before recording it at the county recorder's office. As far as I know, your son should be present in order to notarize the deed. Once the deed is notarized, then you'll be able to file it. Thus, your son will have to be present while transferring the property to you.
