Sorry about spelling in prior respsonse! I am compliance and secondary mortgage underwriter and you have a tough decision. If you give the home back to the lender- why on earth put another cent into it. If you want to ask for leniency-well good luck but there still are a few good people out there. A forbearance is where you get too reduce your payments for a while and try and figure things out (husbands do come back you known) But the last option may be what you need to consider. Survival and stay in the home as long as you can. This will assume the foreclosure e will take 3 to 4 months and then you would fight the unlawful detained to have you removed.
