My husband and I are getting divorced. He wants his name off the mortgage.He also doesn't want for the balance of the mortgage to be on his credit report if and when he gets a credit check. how can this be done?
I wanted to take over mortgage payments and put my mom on. How would this work?

I would think it owuld just be a matter of refinancing the mortgage using yourself and your mother and not your soon to be ex.

Refinancing is probably your only choice as assuming loans is almost non- existent now a days and would have had to be part of the original loan paperwork.
