Ken, are you trying to add her to the mortgage, the deed or both? At this point, you can only add her to the deed unless you refinance. No reason to want to do that either.

it seems odd, doesn't it, that almost a week later we have no further information from ken? i guess this isn't a pressing issue.

Out of interest, other than spreading the liability to the other person as well, is there any reason why you'd want to add them to the mortgage? Couldn't they just contribute to the payments without having thir name on the mortgage as well - thereby avoiding any liability in the event of a default?

As long as their name is also added to the deed this would seem like a better solution wouldn't it?

Unless of course the purpose of adding her to the mortgage is to allow for greater borrowing?
