Hi Guest,

It's pretty hard to predict the rates at the end of the year right now. As far as long term rates are considered, they have been slowing down for the 9th time in 11 weeks. These rates are dependent on the bond market. If the bond market feels inflation will rise, mortgage rates will go up too.

30 year fixed rate home loans are expected to average 6.8% by the second half of 2006.

Compare to 2005, this year we can expect it to be on the higher side. This is my personal prediction.
