well i wont' go so far as to suggest that sify loan company is a loan shark, as the title to this thread refers, but i will opine that their's is not a truly professional company - strictly based on the poorly written, nonsensical drivel i see in that advertisement.

the best thing i can say about them (without knowing a thing about them) is that their name rhymes with the newly-renamed syfy channel. maybe it truly is all about science fiction.

the above paragraph ought to tell anyone that tony belly is a money lender who is only interested in dealing with those who are most desperate. in that way, he can manufacture reasons to run you ragged with fees, outlandish interest rates, and much trouble.

of course, lenders want serious candidates for their loans - that goes without saying. but to say it draws serious doubt from this corner.

Post     Post subject: Geneva Roth

Most of the things you mentioned in your writeup about Geneva Roth, has occured to me in my dealings with them. I never filled out any paper work, and received a loan. I paid on the loan every two weeks, and still had the same balance. They never disclosed any thing to me on the terms of the loan. After paying them their principle and interest, I closed my bank account. Then they started harrassing me on my cell phone, and at my work. Threatening me with legal action in California court. Also Treats to my wife and children.

Don't borrow money! Try not spending beyond you means and saving a buck or two. It seems only people that are broke are complaining about these companies. Do you think they look for broke people, then force them to take their loan? Aren’t you adults? Did you call your bank when mysteriously $400 appeared, no, you went out and bought $400 worth of clothes you could afford.

They cannot access your account if you don't give them you bank account number. If they do, close your account and contact the attorney general to file a complaint. They would have to prove you asked for a loan. I have not heard one complain from someone that does not “need” a loan. Common thread, these are broke people claiming they did not borrow money. Why do broke people always want to blame their problems on someone else?

Post     Post subject: YOU ARE MISTAKEN JJW

Let me start by saying I NEVER HAD A PAYDAY LOAN NOR DID I EVER RECEIVE MONEY FROM ANYONE, so to say that "only broke people that need money" were affected by this is WRONG.. I woke up today to see that my account was debited $400 from this company and I never heard of them in my life. I called the company and they wanted my ssn, when i refused to give it they hung up on me.. I haven't got ahold of anyone since, and I have tried. If you research the name lpusa or Loan point USA it will tell you that this has happened to plenty of people who never applied for any sort of loan...

Post     Post subject: how i got my loan

i have search internet and found out that it hard for some one to get a good company who can offer you loan, instead they take the little you have and never have anything in return and which i experience i feel for that and i was been taken like a fish by a loan shark, until i came in contact with norah Bidjan and told me that she got her loan from english world loans and which i thought it was same to other loan shark and before i could know, the company called me to confirm my account,i was surprise and i find the sum,i applied for, when i visited the bank,if you need a loan contact them or visit their website englishworld19.webs.com

It seems to me tha Geneva Roth Capital is getting a bad rap here. I have used this company numerous times. I have found they are very upfront about fees, (yes payday loans are expensive). I think too many people apply for these loans without understanding the fees. Unless you go online to your acct 4 days prior to pmt due date only the interest pmt will be deducted. You have option to input what additional amt to principal you desire to pay. Bank fees are even worse than these loan companies.

Hello, Is this company licensed to operate as a loan company in fl? Is there a cap on the amount of money I have to pay in interest in the state of florida?

Well... not sure if they are licensed in FL. The lender will charge you a interest rate which is available in the market. The lender may not charge you an over the top interest rate.

Just checking in on this conversation after a long absence. I see that Vrina posted favorable information on the company. How odd is that?

I find it hard to believe that "bank fees" for loans are far worse than what Geneva Roth Capital might charge, but I suppose it's possible. I will agree with her assertion that people don't understand what they're getting into with payday loans; that's pretty evident by all the posts we've seen on this company and a wealth of others.

Buyer beware! If you don't know what you're getting into, you shouldn't be getting into it - that's pretty simply said, but it's an effective truth. Unless someone knows precisely what a payday loan is and the harm it can cause if one is not careful, then such a loan ought to be the very last thing on an agenda.
