How long does an account stay on my credit history?

I would like to know how long an account stays on my credit hystory and how can I find out when is about to fall be deleted?
Also how do I Check if the SOL has expired?

normally it stays from anywhere between 7 to 10 yrs depend upon the type of loans and procedures..

if your question about a statute of limitations concerns a judgment, then you can check with your local attorney general's office. if you are simply talking about a bad debt, it's there for 7 years.

hey you can remove the account from your credit history ,you just have to write the letter to the creditor about the dispute and they have to reply within 30 days . if they don reply you can tell to the credit bureaus company equifax Experian or transunion then they take the side of the Consumer and that account will be deleted from your credit history.In this way you can repair your credit
