Yes you can become an owner by way of a quit claim deed from your fiance(e). That won't make you responsible for any debt that's on the property, and it might get the lender who holds the mortgage (if there is one) upset that there's a transfer of ownership. Then again, many lenders never are notified of such transfers and nothing comes of it.
