Hi Bremen,

I really feel your about your situation. You can atleast put your unemployment insurance claim to start with.

Hi,

You will have to make plans to start afresh. First of all you should try getting a job though it might be somewhat difficult.

Also try to apply for credit cards that are easy to get like department stores and gas stations, you need not use them but having those small credit accounts and regularly making necessary payments can help to improve your credit score and financial credibility.

Some credit unions can offer you loans when other types of financial institutions will mostly turn you down.

I hope some of my advice works for you.

Hi Bremen,

You can seek unemployment insurance provided by the government. The amount of money offered depends on the authorities involved and the status of the person applying for the insurance. The cash offered will cover your basic needs or it can be provided in proportion to the previous salary. But you need to register yourself as an unemployed person and inform the authority that you are seeking a job, although you don't have one.

The unemployment insurance is often included within the social security scheme. The person eligible for the insurance is paid on the basis of their earnings during each of the first 4 of the past 5 calendar quarters. However, the earnings considered should be such that these do no exceed the maximum income level of the state.

God bless you

Samantha.

I don't quite get this Jon, can you please elaborate your situation. Are you into chapter 13 repayment plan?

Contact your bankruptcy attorney right away. The bankruptcy code allows for a temporary hold or reduction on your payments in case of job loss, etc, But you need to contact them so that the courts can modify your payments for you. If you don't do this and you fall behind in your payments then it can be dismissed. I know you have options in your case of job loss so contact them asap.

Hi Jon,

Call the irs and see if they can remodify the payments for you. The sooner you do this the more cooperative they will be. Or since we are talking about the IRS, maybe I should say the longer you wait, the more uncooperative they will be.
