my boyfriend and i are buying a house. only his name is on the mortgage. the bank told him i can't be on the deed unless i am on the mortgage. is this true?
this is somewhat true.
suppose tomorrow (for god sake it should not happen ) you are no longer in relationship then to whom bank should chase.The person whose name is on the mortgage or the person who does not have any liability for mortgage?
Definitely they will go for the person who is having some mortgage. to avoid this situation they insist for this norm. :roll: :roll:
