To use a deed in lieu do you have to be behind in your mortgage. I have been making all my payments but I'm living on next to nothing and the house is not selling..

Hi mkobow,

Unless you're delinquent on your mortgage payments, the lender may not consider your request for a deed in lieu of foreclosure.
