That would be fraud. Contact an attorney to get specifics on what to do next

Hi,

Its totally illegal to use wrong name while you signing off property deed.

If its done by mistake then you can do is to get in touch with county clerk's office and ask them how to change the wrong name on the deed. But you have to prove that both of names has same person. You may asked to sign quit claim deed from wrong name to your correct name so you will be grantor for wrong name person. You may contact your attorney for more details & get him involved to be safe.

Happy to help you.

Thanks & Regards.

Hi mizroc!

Welcome to forums!

You should immediately contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this matter. He will let you know how you can remove the false name from the property deed.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
