Hi, we had known that our house was being foreclosed On and had waited many months and heard nothing from the bank.so before winter hit, we moved to a rental place and majority of our stuff came with , but we did leave some things because our lawyer stated that we would have about 60-90 days after we were served with eviction papers to finish moving stuff. Today I stopped by the house that is now 30 mins away to find all the locks changed and a paper taped in the window that stated no unauthorized persons were allowed in the home,,,nothing about it being foreclosed and we never received papers from anyone either and we up-dated everyone on our new address and my cell number never changed. So here's my question while I'm waiting to hear from my lawyer, weren't we to be served with an eviction notice BEFORE they did what they did? Thank you for your time.

Hi Guest,

The lender should serve you with a formal eviction notice once the foreclosure sale is over giving you a certain period of time to move out of the property. You should have a word in this regard with your attorney.

Thanks
