my mother in-law has passed away 10 years ago. This year the property appraiser removed her name from our property. We normally get a 50K exemption. This year we only got a 25K Please let me know what to do to get the additional exemptiom?

Hi mrdr,

You should check out why your mother-in-law got the additional exemption. If you satisfy that criteria, then you'll be able to receive the same exemptions. If you don't satisfy the required criteria, then you cannot claim additional exemptions.

Take care.
