I have not itemized art work, books, furnishings and music and would like to have these things appraised and included in my policy. There are personal property appraisers that specialize in specific types of personal property such as art. The problem is, for the number and variety of items, you may be talking to several different appraisers. As for the insurance policies, I am not sure how that works. I don't think it would be added into a standard homeowners policy, it will likely be a separate policy for the individual items if you want that specific coverage.
