Hi. My partner and I bought a home together 16 years ago and I paid all the mortgage paments and utilites after 3 years being in the house so she could retire. She sold her land and paid the house off which was 87,000. I have put money into her account every paycheck for the last 9 years so shw would have money since she stopped working and I covered half of all home improvements, property taxes, insurance totaling 140,000 over the last 9 years. Now she said the house is hers because she paid it off. Do I have any legal rights since the house is in my name also and I have contributed all this money? Can she take the house from me?

Thanks
Lewis

If you are on title to the property, you are an owner of the home. Gather all your required proof, and take her to court if you cannot come to an agreement.

sounds like a 50% ownership for you both.
but you will not want to get advice here.... contact a real estate attorney.
