Sect. 8 is for renting only, but there might be a program in your area to help homeowners stay in their homes. As Chris has said, you should contact your bank in order to receive help from them for your mortgage payments. You can apply for forbearance wherein the lender will reduce or suspend your mortgage payment for the time being - say for a period of 6 months. Within this time period, you should try to find employment so that you'll be able to pay off the debts.
