I have just paid off the lien on my land so there is no lien against it. My question is... several years ago I made a deal with the IRS on past dues and I didnt pay all of it they filed a judgement on me at the courthouse. Can I quick deed this property to some one else without the IRS getting it?

You can "quick deed" (quit claim) your interest in your home to anyone you wish at any time. Unfortunately, that person(s) would suffer from your misdeed. A potential recipient of your deed wouldn't necessarily be working with legal counsel to ensure proper transferral, after all. Anyone who's astute is going to require a warranty deed from you, and that'd be shot through with holes due to the judgment that the IRS has against you.

When you mention paying off the lien on the land, I take that to mean that there was once a mortgage and that it no longer exists because it has been paid off. Wouldn't selling the land to another party enable you to pay off the IRS at the same time?

Also, are you certain that there's no lien on the property based on that IRS judgment?
