I want to leave my name on our mortgage but take it off the deed to make my daughter sole owner. Both the mortgage and the deed are as joint tenants are in both our names

Welcome janelavin,

If your daughter becomes the sole owner of the property, then the lender will want your daughter to refinance the mortgage solely in her name. If she does not do so, then the lender may call the mortgage due immediately.
