We are NOT behind in our payments and our mortgage co refused our last payment and stated they did not receive the payment previous to it, however we have a canceled cashier's check that was payment for that month. Now what?

Hello- That's really weird. Call their customer service and explain the situation. They obvioulsy must have made an accounting mistake. Fax a copy of the cancelled cashier's check to them and then send that other payment to them before your account is delinquent. Be sure to get a name and direct number (or extension) of the person you talk to in cust serv. Make sure they aren't reporting you late. Take thorough notes and don't assume they'll fix it, call back a few days later to confirm.

Good luck!

I agree, this is weird. the only thing I can think of is that you may have made an incomplete or "short" payment the previous month. Most lenders will not accept partial payments. Is it possible you inadvertantly sent in less than the full payment due?

Are you talking about the carbon copy of the cashiers check or did you actually go to the bank and get a copy of the cancelled check?

If the former, check could have been "lost in the mail". Does happen.

well...if a check has been cancelled, i.e., paid; then it couldn't have been "lost in the mail." misapplied, perhaps, but the bottom line is that this is a situation that needs to be investigated so that payments can be credited properly.
