My Husband and his sister own the house with his mother to live in it until she dies, she is in a nursing home on medicaid with Alzheimers. I know we can not sell the house, but can we take a loan against it or can we buy (deed) the house to one or the other?

Hi rlinda,

You may take a loan against the property but I don't think you will be able to buy the house from the one or the other.

Thanks
