Should I give my info(SS#, Bank info, etc) to the bank for my mother loan modification

I do temp live there and contribute to monthly bills. I am not on the original loan.

The bank said this will help her chances to get the loan modification approved, but will it hurt me in the future?

No, not if you are not on the loan. Generally on a modification, its only temporary. If she gets a full permanent modification, then she might sign a set of modified loan docs. As long as you are not listed as a borrower, their is no recourse against you.

Hi ndelisfort,

As you are not on the original loan, there is no need to give your personal details for the loan modification.

Thanks
