I signed up for a mortgage and the company has talked about late payments and such to my wife, that's not listed on my loan, nor has she signed anything from them. this loan company calls her as well as me when we are late. also the house just had major hail damage and the loan company came out and said that they will try to get the check instead of me getting it, from the insurance company. is this possible and or legal in TN?

You would need to contact an attorney in your state. FCC laws state that the creditor cannot speak to another party about the debt they are calling about, unless you authorized them to in advance.

Hi tjdart!

Welcome to forums!

As far as I know, the insurance company will give the check to you. I don't think the lender will be able to get that check from the insurance company.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
