I sent all the papers to Mortgage IT with the errors. My sister in law got an mortgage by lying for $350,000.00 I never got an answer. I even sent the summon that was sent the the mortgage company. Who can I talk to?
you really need to tell us what you're talking about. but eric is correct - you need a lawyer. _________________ George M. Akerley

I, too, do not quite understand what you are asking. You refer to a summmons - please elaborate.
I have to agree with Eric and George, if you already received some type of legal document or you think your sister was somehow involved in mortgage fraud, you really need to contact an attorney right away.
Best of luck. Let us know if we can be of further assistance. _________________ Michelle Keck

A lawyer is definately the person to ask. Even with all of the details, a loan officer will not be able to tell you how to proceed. _________________ Lisa Scherzer

Hawthorne Abstract Corp. got a mortgage for my husband's sister & brother for $350,000. They sent him documents with blank spaces for him to sign, that were already predated and signed by his sister & brother, also signed by two notaries. It was recorded without my husband knowing about it. The agent got about $27,000 for this. I asked a lawyer, and was told anytime that there isn't a lawyer present it's because there is something going on that might not be legal. He just called them crooks. Can I get any justice in seeing them shut down. I even called the FBI, I don't want this to happen to anyone else. How detailed they were in trying to cover their tracks, tells me that they have done this many times before. We were told just sell the house and don't try to go after Hawtorne, you can't afford to.It would cost more than the money we might get for the third of the house. I just want the right people to find out about this fraud.

Hi Golden,
Welcome to our community.
I don't understand why the sister and her husband signed the loan doc without judging the lender properly. And, who's on the property? is it your husband?
What I understand is, the sister and brother signed and then sent the doc to your husband for his signatures - is that so? Please give me some more details regarding who's on the title, and who's on the loan and if anyone cosigned etc. It will help me come up with the right suggestions.

You mean the lender sent the papers with blank spaces for signatures? What makes you think that they're predatory?
In case you feel they have committed fraud with you, do file a complaint immediately with the FTC. The complaint form is available at https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup . I don't know why they won't listen to a lawyer. This is very odd. Doesn't the law have the power to make them listen to any legal representative?

There are two deeds, and three mortgage documents, all are different. No one wants to help. The FBI even tried. Hawthorne does not have a license. MortgageIT said the are grossly negigent, The documents are all wrong, and someone even forged my husband's name. Hawthorne abstract corp. tried to force my husband to sign these douments,Why? because he would be on the mortgage and it could be a refinancing not a buyout. It was suppose to be a buyout. Only by keeping all three on the mortgage they didn;t have to change the deed and didn't use a lawyer. Refinancing is easier than a buyout. One notary is going to Albany for a hearing. I don't think anything will come of the Fraud, since the state banking hasn't gotten back to us yet.
