do I need to pay my first time home buyer credit back? I didnt gain anything from this. I paid the taxes up to date and moved on.

Welcome to forums!

If you leave the property within 3 years of purchase, then you may be liable for paying back the tax credit. Nevertheless, you should contact your tax adviser and take his opinion in this regard.

I agree with above.
Be prepared to pay this back.

There was 2 different credits.... but both had a payback rule. Do you know which one you got? What tax yr?
