what is Piggyback Loan?

Hi,

Piggyback loans no longer exist in the market. They used to a popular way of financing during the housing boom. A Piggyback mortgage often allowed a borrower to purchase a house without making a down payment and without paying private mortgage insurance.

a piggyback is a second mortgage granted at the same time as a new purchase-money first mortgage. they do exist but far less often than previously, and at lower ltv numbers.
