Property inspection chrage from active mortgage account?

Like 0 Dislike 0 Here is the situtaion, my mortgage company claim it is within the law to do drive by property inspection if they believe the property value drop. Is it legal for a mortgage company to do a drive by inspection and charge you for it? It sound bs to me, since they can keep doing this and charge for you without any good reason. Thanks -Will

The charge is not too much, only $10.50, but it sound bizarre to me. Why would they do a drive by inspection if the mortgage account is active; I don't see why there need to be a drive by inspection. I agree if I am late or anything. I will probably call around or google around and see if I can find anything. In case you wondering, the mortgage company is Saxon, it is the worst out there. If you ever have them.. run away. thanks
