For getting his share of the property you will have to get his signature for transfer of his interest in your name, otherwise I do not think it can be possible to get his share.

Hi,

One way is that you claim the property as having adverse possession, and then you will have to meet all criterions that are specified for one to claim property by having an adverse possession on it.

You can go through this article for all the details about the laws on adverse possesion.

Thanks

Hi Guest,

Right now if you claim for ownership over the entire property, I don't think you will be able to get it. But if you can wait for a number of years, use the property and then claim for the ownership rights, then by the law of adverse possession prevailing in that state, you may be allowed to take over the entire property.

If you require any information or suggestions regarding adverse possession laws in your state, feel free to let us know.

Thanks

Hi,
If you are owner of property with another individual means your partner has share with that property.Means you can not buy or transfer share without him.

if you want to transfer all shares to your name then take legal authority from him by signing on property share document. then you are the only one owner of that property.

Dilip
