You can obtain a free credit report from annualcreditreport.com once every year. It is not that you should have any trade line open and then only you would be able to access your credit report.

There are many sites that offer online application form for renting. If you browse, you will find many such sites and choose the desired renting form as required.

But why do you need to obtain the credit report for rental application form is not clear to me. If you can explain this, I'll be able to help you further.

Hi Cyaxiza,

In these days, many landlords review the credit reports of tenants before leasing them. They want to be confirm if the person they are renting have good financial history as this will help him to determine how well the person is able to pay the rent or electricity bills, etc. So it will be better to obtain a credit report before leasing an apartment as it will help to explain the landlord of any negative remark on your credit report incase the landlord enquires about it.
