Whats the best way to social network online in the mortgage broker community?

You just did it! That's a good start.

But do not spam listings on sites. I get contact request for all my websites everyday from someone or another. I always click "do not solicite this person" on all the listings but people still spam me.

Do you think I will do business with you after this?

You can tell when an email is from someone you know or even legitimate.

But to answer your question...It works really well just to talk to people in forums and on websites such as My$pace.

I would suggest you to participate in some forums. There are many mortgage brokers, lenders or other mortgage professionals who come to such forums. So, if you participate in them, you may come across these people and thus can build an online social network.
