im looking for a mortgage to buy a property in Bentota, Sri-Lanka, the price is 250.000$

I think you should contact a mortgage lender who offer home loans in Srilanka. By the way, are you from the US? Then you can look out for lenders offering overseas mortgage.

Julie, provide some more details about where you live, you be shifting over to sri lanka over purchasing the house as a vacation home?

Some lenders in the country do have affiliates in other countries and you might have to contact them to know if they would be ready to provide mortgage for a property located in some other country.
