What are the tax implications if you quitclaim abhors to someone for a dollar? My epx husband bought a house for $685000 and quit claimed it to his new wife for a dollar and is now claiming he can't pay child support. Does she have to pay any taxes on this transfer?

Welcome Guest,

There are certain fees and taxes that one needs to pay in case of property transfer. Your ex-husband and his new wife can share the charges and taxes and pay it off.
