moreno Guest	Posted: Thu Apr 21, 2011 5:37 pm    Post subject: can they take our house Like 0 Dislike 0 We owed taxes in 2007, we went to tax service to pay our taxes on the house. well we ggot behind and didn't pay for them in a while. They sent new invoices in January 2011, paid for jan., but they sent back feb, and march. now they sent our paperwork to a lawyer and the law company sent us a letter of acceleration. However, you should contact your lender and negotiate with him so that he accepts the payments now and stops the foreclosure proceedings. Have they sent you any notice? Have you talked with themabout their procedure? Also i am sure some grace period might be there for tax payment. I would say just go and discuss issue with lender.. best of luck......
