the joint tenancy - what if one partner wants to be like the silent one (meaning only wants their name on the deed) and the other one rent, pay the taxes, insurance, maintenance, etc ? can you do a power of attorney with it to protect yourself? on managing the property ? and liability?

Hi alngayle,

In case of joint tenancy, both are equally liable for the taxes, maintenance, etc. You can go for a power of attorney. You need to contact a lawyer and he will help you in drafting the power of attorney.

Thanks
