Confused Guest	Posted: Sat Apr 16, 2011 8:17 am    Post subject: Transferring deed Like 0 Dislike 0 I have been married to my husband for 25years, we have been paying our mortgage on our home for 17 years. My father in law got us a private mortgage with a friend whom is a lawyer. My father in law died 3 years Ago, and now we find out that the deed to our home is in his name only. His wife is alive, but he never had a will. My husband now wants a divorce And I would like to know if this home is half mine. I have been paying this mortgage for 17 years.
