We signed a warranty deed. A month into rebuilding the house I found out he did not have the loan for the house, it was a business partner. I finished the house and was too nervous to file the deed. I am now in the position to purchase the home. I got financed but completing the paperwork to purchase the home is like pulling teeth between all the people involved. I just want this over. Am I liable in any way if I leave the property and just look for another home?

I will suggest you to contact a real estate attorney and take his help in this matter. Thanks
