Two weeks ago my loan officer told me he needed one last document, a printout from my bank, and then we could schedule title signing. Four days later he contacted me to tell me he urgently needed me to send a bunch of documents, including W2 forms, another bank printout, and more pay stubs. This is all stuff I have sent him multiple times over the past two months. I'm really getting frustrated. Should I be worried that they keep asking for the same stuff over and over? Is that usual?

Hi Frustrated,

Welcome to Mortgagefit,

Basically this is not usual....I doubt whether the person to whom you are dealing with is really a loan officer or a broker...If he/she is a broker then they submit your application to several banks and thus they need multiple sets of application (not xerox copies but rather original copies are required by bank)...So your wait for the loan amount will end once you get approval from any of the bank....

Feel free to ask any further query if you have.....

DIPA
