I did contact the titlr co in California and a spoke to avery polite and couteous employee who transferred me to the dep. who did the closing/ESCROW and she was rude and to my suprise!!! They dont do closings in Florida anymore. They want to charge me for the closing package to be pulled. I have to call the company in here in florida cause thats where we signed and resigned. Do you think I should tell my old boss that the mortgage is recorded without the AJR rider and I know thats not his signature but how did his stamp get there.

Hi,I'm goldenangel1952@hotmail.com-(Antoinette) I can't believe that no one would help. But now the state banking is asking MortgageIT to answer a few more questions, as they only gave tthe banking a quick answer. The banking is putting their feet to the fire. Also the notary is going to Alabany for a hearing. I can't say we will come out on top,but I just would like the truth. Those who we involved should be stoppped. HOW DID THEY GET THE MORTGAGE? I would like to know what kind of mortgage it is.

HI, Lisa - Thanks for your response to my question on marketing. We have been using direct mail for marketing and always have. I'm open to other types of lead generation, but want to be sure they are worth it. any tips?

Hi LisaI really need your help here. I live in the stateof Ohio.I purchased a home in October 2001 with a boyfriend. In December of 2001 we parted ways. I got a new mortgage by myself, he filed a QuickClaim deed on the property until I paid back the $21,000 I owed for his down payment. I got a second mortgage

HI Lisa, My mom had a trust which stated that she left her home of 30 years to me and my sister. After she died we recorded a quit claim deed we found in files, thinking we needed it to sell the home. Since filing it we have been charged 5 years in back taxes, fines and penalties because we failed to notify the City of this deed. The city tried to deliver their notice by certified mail to the home that no one no longer lived in. Since they couldn't contact us they took the quit claim deed to mean that my sister and I have owned the home since 2001. This case was taken over by the county many months later. When finally contacted by the county we called the city to explain that we only meant to turn in the deed after our mom died. Our attorney sent a letter verifing this as well. They said that too much time has passed and they can't go back and correct the years that we were improperly charged for. They can correct the current year plus three prior. But they are starting with the year 2007! How can they charge us for 6 yrs in back taxes but not go back 6 years? They have corrected 2004 and 2005. But they are charging us for 2003,2002,and 2001. It's over $7,000. My question is should we fight this or is there nothing we can do? And which way will the county look at this....are we inheriting the home through the trust or through the quit claim. I ended up having to go through probate so her trust is registered at the county too. Now I'm wondering if we will have to pay capital gains since we have owned the home since her death in Feb. 2005 and have not sold it and owned it for more than 2 years.I saw a website called elderslaw.com that stated a quit claim deed must be recorded during the owners lifetime in order for it to leaglly transfer property. Do you know if this is a current Michigan Law. Thanks so much!Valerie
