I am interested in purchasing a mobile home on a rented lot. Unfortunately I have been told that banks will not finance a mortgage pre 1972. Are there programs out there that allow you to finance a mobile that is pre 1972?

Hi JPAdames,

Mobile home loan lenders do not offer loans for those mobile homes which are build prior to 1972. Thus, you won't be able to get a mobile home loan for such an old home. I would suggest you to have a word with the lenders who offer personal property loans and check out if you can get a loan to buy the property.

Thanks
Geart

Hi Geart!

Welcome to forums!

Mobile homes which were built before 1976 hardly qualify for mortgage. So, I don't think it will be possible for you to qualify for a mortgage on a 1972 build mobile home. To know more in this matter, check out the given page: http://www.mortgagefit.com/mobile-homeloan.html .

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
