Our house is one 1 parcel, but we have 2 other parcels totally 20 acres. We would like to put an addition on our house, but due to the housing market, we cannot get a loan. Someone mentioned trying to get a loan against our land. How do we go about finding a bank that is willing to do this?

Hi tonieardley,

You can contact lenders who offer land loan. Depending upon your financial situation, credit score, employment history, etc. you may or may not qualify for a loan. You can even speak to the lenders of this community and seek a no obligation free mortgage consultation from them. This will give you a fair idea whether or not you would be able to get a loan. You will also come to know what type of rates and terms you would receive.

Hi deerone,

Is your double wide free and clear? If yes, then you can take a loan on your double wide and use the money to pay off your land loan.

Thanks
