Hi Guest,

What type of bankruptcy did you file for? If you filed for Chapter 13, then you may be able to get a FHA loan as 1 year has passed since your bankruptcy discharge. If you're looking for a conventional loan, then you will have to wait for 2 years. If you'd filed Chapter 7, then you will have to wait for 2 years to get a FHA loan and 4 years to qualify for a conventional loan.

Thanks

If you filed for foreclosure it really does not matter at all what type of bankruptcy you filed as the foreclosure will supercede the BK.

With the foreclosure on your record it will be at least 3 years and probably 4 before you are able to secure a new mortgage in your name.

How long ago did the foreclosure occur?
