It is very true that many people don't want to do anything which ends up its a norm for loan officer being sneaky, as more than one friends told me: it is always like that, no matter where do you do your loans, just move on... I was careful at the beginning to make sure everything in writing, but still, at the end, numbers can change and there is nothing you can do about it...

OK, before I get contagious to misspell anything… Here is the update:
Today, the supervisor of the loan officer called me, apparently she heard from corporate about my letter of complaint. She said because is a late Fri pm and I signed on Sat, so she didn’t get to see the numbers before I sign the paperwork. She said the change in numbers is because of the calculation from the title company…. She asked me why I went to the title company to sign on a Sat instead of waiting till this week (what a great question!). I told her how the loan officer pushed me saying we need to rush for the closing date, so don’t have to mess up with all the paperwork, and since they rushed the title company so much, if I change my mind and sign next week that’s not appreciating… So, I end up signing on Sat, even that finally I found out my loan officer told the title company I requested to sign on Sat, even that they don’t open Sat and I won’t get the key. So that’s why I get more frustrated. The supervisor’s comment: OMG…that sounds like a nightmare… I told her, $100 is not a big amount, but everything adds up I am very upset so I am filing a complaint. She apologized for all that and she said she did not know I get pushed to sign on Sat, it maybe the seller’s realtor pushed the loan officer so he did that to me. Anyway, she said the corporate is going to get me a check of $104 (the difference between $755 and 651) (Yeah!!), and she apologized for what I gone thru, she said it is not their culture of doing things, and she will talk to the loan officer about that.

I actually sent the supervisor an email afterwards talking about the attitude of the loan officer. He said “his service is superb”, “going to his superior/intelligent to amend this issue”, “action speaks louder than words, I’ll let it shine thru”. I don’t know is cultural difference or…. I just don’t think is the correct attitude to the customers. I told her is just a comment, don’t mean to complain, she didn’t reply me on that, that’s ok, I’m done with them in anyway.

Anyway, thank you so much for both of you being so nice to help!! This loan application experience has been painful (I cancelled one loan application before this one as the loan officer was rude and dishonest). However, I get to know this forum and you guys which is very heart lightening.

Thanks again!

Back to the trough...or perhaps I ought to say "hack through the trough."

I'm so glad you received that call from the supervisor, who seemingly was astounded at the scheduling and that you had been promised one thing and received another, etc. That they're cutting a check for you is only appropriate, and it's most unfortunate that you went through that entire annoying process.

I apologize for having a communicable misspelling disease, and I'm hopeful that you'll recover quickly. Maybe that $104 will buy you precisely the right medication (if you need it) to recover.

It's a valuable thing that you've shared your experience, as others may well benefit from what you've been through, either by being more proactive in their searching for a loan officer and a loan product; or by reaching out when they've been dealt a raw deal and seeking replenishment of any funds expended as a result.
