As far as I know, lender may or may not disclose about the mortgage insurance in the documents. However, lenders do disclose the amount you need to pay for the mortgage insurance in the mortgage docs. elnora, in these times, i don't think anyone can truly define who the mi company is going to be. depending on the individual loan scenario, one company might do the mi, another might not. unless a lender has an exclusive contract with a particular mi company (which would be ridiculous, given what i just described), i don't think there's any way to predict it.
they all ought to use united guaranty, but that's just my personal preference (prejudice). i was a contract underwriter for ug for more than 10 years, and they treated me awfully well. and if that's an ad, please forgive me - i'm a loyal kinda guy. _________________ George M. Akerley
