Like 0 Dislike 0 Hi there, I have gone through a divorce recently and have a Judgment of Separate Maintenance showing spouse wants the home and that I'm in no way responsible for the existing loan. I need to know if I can for a mortgage in such a situation if the new lender comes to know about this and that it is not a debt that I will be responsible for signed by a judge saying this? _________________ Need help choosing the right loan? So, it may be a bit difficult for you to qualify for a mortgage in this situation. Thanks, Jerry

Other lenders will certainly look at the mortgage as your continuing obligation, as Jerry noted. _________________ George M.
