I own my home free and clear but I have some work I want to do on my house I am not looking to borrow a lot of money i just want to borrow around 2000 is there a bank that will lend me that amount and I will put up my house for colateral because I dont have good credit and I would like to keep my payments around 50-100 dollars a month

Hi gwenblk,

It won't be a sensible option to use the property as a collateral for such a paltry sum of money. Rather, you can contact lenders giving personal loans and take advantage of those loans.
