We have been searching for someone who does the HUD home improvement loan, and we are not having much luck! The list on the HUD sight itself is not accurate, and most don't even know what it is!
We found one , Domestic Bank, but we don't want to deal with them as we found them to be very rude. We felt they knew they were the only ones to be found, so they could get away with very bad customer service....
Any suggestions?

Hi joedholm,

It is difficult for me to let you know which of the banks or the financial institutions will be ready to offer you a HUD home improvement loan. However, you need to contact individual lenders and check out if they can assist you in this regard. Apart from that, this community has a large number of lenders. You can seek a no obligation free mortgage quote from them and check out if they can assist you with such a loan.

Thanks

We are in North Carolina and we have not had any luck finding anyone who deals with the HUD home improvment loan. Most mortgage brokers want us to refinance, but our interest on our mortgage is at 4.25%, and we do not want to change it.

Hi joedholm,

You can check out what type of rates you will be getting when you apply for a mortgage refinance. If you get even lower rates than what you have now, then you can consider refinancing your existing loan.
